Coming in at just under 50 lbs, the kayak is lightweight, although you can stand on it without toppling over, making maneuverability easy. As far as durability goes, the sturdy fishing kayak is constructed of high-density polyethylene with a full UV protection. If you buy the unit, it comes with a hatch for storage purposes as well as two rod holders.
The tank well also includes cargo net lacing which can accommodate a small child, and store all your fishing paraphernalia in one place. The roomy foot pegs provide much comfort for longer excursions. Using the side handles and stern, you can easily carry the kayak and also secure it properly. It also features two mount rod holders which make this optimal for someone that likes to setup shop with multiple rods and floats to see what they can catch.
The drawback of the kayak is the fact that the dry compartment has no well and is the inside of the kayak where things can easily move out of reach. Also, the tracking of the kayak is not top-notch and needs improvement.
Our Final Review
The emotion renegade is a decent kayak and provides good value for money. It’s wider than most kayaks and the provisions it supplies are hard to beat for the price.
